Local software company supports important Health Montreal initiative
Amadis, a Montreal-based payment software and consulting services provider, today announced its support of The Fondation Santé Urbaine’s Covid-19 Emergency fund. The company pledged a donation in support of this important Health Montreal initiative.
The Fondation Santé Urbaine fund supports the well-being of those for whom COVID-19 is yet another challenge to overcome, while contributing to the collective effort to limit the spread of the virus. The fund provides support for vulnerable patients, seniors, healthcare workers, and others in need.
"Amadis has a strong relationship with Montreal and finds it meaningful to support the community confronted by the pandemic,” said Emmanuel Haydont, CEO and Co-founder of Amadis. “We are proud to support this important local initiative.”
Through its Covid-19 fund, The Fondation Santé Urbaine has delivered immense support to the Montreal community, including:
- Delivery of a range of activities and services to support thousands of local seniors in need.
- Providing personal protective equipment to thousands of healthcare workers: masks (30,000), face shields and scrubs.
- Setting up temporary units to house over 50 homeless people in isolation at the old Royal Victoria Hospital.
About The Fondation Santé Urbaine
The Fondation Santé Urbaine was created when Fondation de l’Hôpital de Verdun and Fondation santé et mieux-être Jeanne-Mance, two organizations with close to 40 years or experience supporting residents of the Centre-Sud-de-l’Île-de-Montréal, came together under one banner. This merger enables the foundation to help a larger community dealing with the same Urban Health challenges: delivery of community care, an aging population, youth clientele, increasing costs, etc.
